Dear students,

In view of the declaration of the state of emergency as of March 12, 2020 and based on today's (March 13, 2020) decree of the BUT Crisis Staff, we are hereby urging you to return immediately from abroad back home. This applies to all BUT students and staff who are currently abroad.

All Erasmus+ participants will be able to reimburse travel expenses or other extraordinary related costs that will need to be supported by documents, so please keep them. All prematurely terminated mobility under Erasmus+ will be recognised as force majeure. We will deal with administrative matters related to early termination of study stays and internships after your return to the Czech Republic. In the case of difficulties or unprovisable but expedient expenses, you will be reimbursed to the FIT in agreement with the coordinator.

If you continue your study abroad, there is a high risk that the local university will also be closed over time and that the lessons will take place on-line. Based on the information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a later return may be impossible due to stopped cross-border traffic. More on the website of the Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of the Interior.

If you have not already done so, or if your decision has changed, please tell us immediately your decision - to return or continue to stay abroad. If you decide to return, contact the study advisor. FIT will help you to solve your study complications.

We also remind you of the mandatory quarantine, which applies to all who return from high-risk countries from 13 March. The list of risk countries may change, so check the Ministry of Health website. Carefully read and follow instructions on Information to ensure teaching at university.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in managing this situation
