Web-based system for semi-automatic checks of speech annotations

An important part in the creation of speech and multimodal corpora is orthographic transcription. This proces involves errors,  that are lowering the usefulness of created data. Our system allows for automatic and semmi-automatic checks and corrections of most frequent errors such as wrong syntax, typos, wrong usage of noise-marks, etc. The system is implemented as a server and the annotators access it through a web-interface. The system is currently used for chekc of annotations in the EU-sponsored project AMI, mainly by the annotators from University of Edinburgh.
