Abstract

The aim of the project is to develop the innovative laser sensor (flashing LiDAR) for autonomous driving of trucks. The sensor will be developed according to automotive development and safety standards (ASIL, A-SPICE) and the development will cover laser optics, mechanical design, HW and SW. Together with the sensor we will also develop four functions - autonomous driving in traffic jam, automated safety moving off the truck, function of safety lane change maneuver and safety turn of maneuver. These functions will not use only data from new laser sensor, but we will implement a fusion with other sensors (radar, camera) and the functions will be implemented as SW packages for higher ECU in the truck. The sensor and the functions will be tested on the real trucks (test polygon / open road).
