JESTER - Methodology for Developing Wireless Sensor Networks Using Small Agents
WSN; JAWS; JESTER; WSN monitoring; WSN controlling; Methodology; Agent.
This paper presents our latest work in area of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN). We will present our new methodology that should help programmer to develop ready-to-deploy system based on WSN. Our system consists of two parts. First part is WSN itself. In WSN there runs our system called WSageNt. This system enables us to program nodes of network to achieve desired behaviour. By this system we are able to program WSN for arbitrary scenario. Second part of our system is represented by desktop computer (PC) that represents ``thinking'' component of our system. This PC runs instance of JADE system (FIPA compliant system for artificial agents). On this instance run some predefined agents that are able to deliver desired programs to network nodes. This ability enables us to change behaviour of the network in principle without human presence. Into this system we are bringing our new methodology called JESTER. As we show it is much easier to prepare Wireless Sensor Network for desired application with this methodology.
