Abstract

This technical report is focused on mobile device fingerprinting (smart phones, tables, smart watches, etc.). Similarly to network device fingerprinting we passively observe device communication.
The goal is to select communication features of mobile devices that will distinguish communication of a given device from other traffic and which can be used for device fingerprinting. This report gives an overview of existing approaches and discusses their application to mobile devices.
