Annotation
This paper introduces a controller with a special image-processing unit that was developed for controlling electrically adjustable diaphragms of several CCD cameras simultaneously. The unit consists of a DSP processor and a FPGA that dramatically increases the computing power of the whole system. Furthermore, this paper also presents algorithms that were used for controlling the diaphragm to obtain optimal picture quality.
