Annotation

This paper deals with one of the methods of calculating the roots of a polynomial based on the linear Bairstow method. It also compares the accuracy of calculations achieved by using a mathematical co-processor and multiple arithmetic with an arbitrary number of bits of the mantissa. Finally it shows the advantage of using the multiple arithmetic for solving mathematical problems by iteration methods sensitive to accuracy.
