Petri Nets, Timed Petri Nets, Manufacturing System, Simulation
Petri Nets offer a graphical language for both the analytical and simulation modelling of complex and concurrent systems. The paper describes a simulation study based on application of timed Petri Nets. The objective of the study was to find effectiveness parameters of a manufacturing system. Generalized Distributed Timed Transition Stochastic Petri Nets (GDTT_SPN) have been used to simulate a beverage-line manufacturing system. After introduction to the problem, its GDTT_SPN model is presented. The model was simulated by using the PetriSim package. Simulation results and conclusions derived from the study are summarized.
