This paper discusses a proposal of a noise and emissions reducing flight control system. Environment Friendly Control System (EFCS) for light aircraft bases on Total X Control System (TXCS) and assumes significant reduction of total energy dissipation in the vicinity of airports. General description of the flight control system, control laws, as well as results of preliminary tests, performed on a flight simulator, are presented in this paper.
The motivation behind this conceptual paper is to describe the general idea, design, and implementation of an environmentally friendly flight control system for general aviation aircraft.
