Course details

3D Optical digitalization 1

1ODI-Z FaVU 1ODI-Z Acad. year 2021/2022 Winter semester 2 credits

Current academic year

The basic course of 3D optical digitization (scanning) is designed to familiarize students with the capabilities of scanning systems available at the FFA BUT (ATOS 1, Artec EVA) and the basic processing of 3D models obtained by 3D scanning technology. Students of the basic course will get acquainted with scanning of a figure and portrait with the Artec EVA system. The core part of the course focuses, both in lectures and practical exercises, on the basic processing and editing of data obtained using 3D scanning technology in Gom inspect 2017 software. The basic course taught in the winter semester is followed by the summer semester, which builds on the knowledge acquired in the first semester and focuses mainly on independent practical exercises and students' own creative activities.
