Learning objectives
This virtual course aims to create a space for registration for the dates of circle consultations. Circle consultations for the studies are meetings of first-year students with academics, who will provide them with valuable advice and information needed at the beginning and throughout their whole studies.
Why is the course taught
University studies are very different from high school. Students, along with academics, are members of the academic community, and the common goals of all are education and research. Circle consultations were created as an opportunity to acquaint students with academics and new classmates. There is no space to get acquainted and talk about things not directly related to the course on the lectures where are hundreds of students for one academic, nor on seminars where it is necessary to complete the assigned tasks. Students also often do not dare to come to individual consultations for unknown reasons. Circle consultations are thus a unique opportunity that can be used to create social ties at the faculty and to obtain valuable advice and tips for studying from people who have gone through it themselves.
