Selected Topics of Digital Techniques
DQRG FEKT DQRG Acad. year 2002/2003 Winter semester 4 credits
Transmission of signals among digital circuits, ringing and reflection and methods how to remove them. Up-to-date digital device families used in fast digital systems and buses. Interfacing digital devices with different supply voltage. Electromagnetic compatibility in digital and mixed systems design. Metastability, boundary scan. Development systems for PLD and FPGA devices. VHDL language.

Survey of selected up-to-date topics in digital technique. Students become familiar with the tools for computer aided digital design, simulation and implementation of digital systems in PLD and FPGA devices.
