Psychology of Creative Thinking

The course focuses especially on the following topics: Structure of personal activities, staff selection and recruitment a personality of the manager, professionalism, methods of leading people, professiography, methods of evalution of employees.

Subject specific learning outcomes and competences
Students will acquire the following skills and knowledge: structure of the personality of a creative person, characteristics of creative process, barriers to the creative thinking, methods applied to elicit original ideas.
Learning objectives
The main objective of the course is to make students familiar with patterns, conditions and prerequisites of creative activity. They will develop their creative abilities and a positive attitude in conflicts.
Prerequisite knowledge and skills
Mastering the process of thinking and solving problems by conventional means.

Topics of lectures are the following:
- Significance of a creative approach to life and work.
- Characteristics of conventional and creative solution of problems.
- Creative personality and its features.
- Characteristics of the idea creating process and its stages.
- Barriers of creative thinking.
- Basic methods of creative solution of problems.
Syllabus of numerical exercises
Topics of seminars are the following:
- Significance of a creative approach to life and work.

- Characteristics of the idea creating process and its stages.
- Barriers of creative thinking.
- Basic methods of creative solution of problems.
Progress assessment
The course-unit credit is awarded on the following conditions: Submission of creative exercises, problem-solving methods and final written work.
Teaching methods and criteria
Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.
Controlled instruction
Submitting the requested materials in declared control days. Absent students have to submit requested materials in an alternative term.
